Accessibility Statement

Our Standard

Newel works toward substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as an accessibility benchmark, including semantic structure, keyboard reachability, visible focus states, contrast-aware styling, reduced-motion respect, and labeled controls. This is a goal we design and build toward — it is not a certification of full conformance.

Measures We Take

• We use semantic HTML, labels, and other accessibility attributes on interactive controls and continue improving coverage across the product.
• We work to provide text alternatives for meaningful non-text content where appropriate and technically feasible.
• We work to keep key forms, menus, and dialogs keyboard-operable and to maintain visible focus indicators.
• We consider color contrast, text alternatives, error messaging, and reduced-motion preferences as part of ongoing design and engineering work.
• We review reported barriers and prioritize remediation based on severity, frequency, and user impact.

Compatibility

Newel is intended to work with current versions of major browsers and commonly used assistive technologies, but compatibility may vary depending on the device, browser, operating system, and assistive-technology combination you use.

Ongoing Work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Some areas may still need refinement, especially as features evolve. Generated marketing media (images and walkthrough videos) are visual by nature; we encourage you to add your own descriptive captions when publishing. We are actively auditing keyboard-focus visibility across the application and prioritizing fixes for any control where a focus indicator is missing.
